Job Summary: Manages all loan operation activities, including managing staffing, training, compliance, and reporting.

 Essential Duties:

  • Performs a variety of administrative duties and complex loan and deposit support to consumer/commercial banking lenders, staff, and customers
  • Works to build rapport, credibility and confidence with the loan operations staff
  • Manages all loan services, including insurance monitoring, property tax monitoring, client financial updates, AccuSystems and quality control
  • Assists Senior Loan Officer in setting goals and objectives for loan servicing operations
  • Develops and maintains account relationships for loan vendors including loan document platforms, credit bureaus, and core system; including managing and understanding changes to these systems
  • Monitors bank loan operations procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Supervises all certifications in the loan processing area
  • Oversee the daily maintenance service to loan accounts as needed to include loan clearing
  • Communicate bank's policies and legal regulations regarding loan documentation to the lenders and loan processors
  • Rectify deficiencies when appropriate
  • Complete required training and compliance with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures, including identification of suspicious activity, CTR (Currency Transaction Report) preparation and other job specific policies/procedures pertaining to this position
  • May be asked to perform other duties as required by business needs

 Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises Loan Processors, Loan Servicing Clerks, and Imaging Coordinator
  • Responsible for time clock maintenance and absentee recordkeeping
  • Assigning work, giving instructions, reviewing work, performance reviews, recommending salary increases, selecting new employees, acting on employee problems, transfer, promotions, and handling terminations

Education/Experience:

  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business or closely related field and two or more years progressively responsible experience in management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically requiring two or more years progressively responsible experience in management
  • Knowledge of current management and leadership methods and practices
  • Ability to direct and supervise the work of others
  • Ability to have a thorough and comprehensive understanding of various regulatory requirements
  • Ability to develop and maintain organizational structure
  • Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network, and PC operating systems
  • Skills in the operation of a personal computer with word processing and spreadsheet software and intra/internet
  • Ability to learn lending laws and practices
  • Strong analytical and credit skills, and a good knowledge of bank services
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate a variety of activities
  • Ability to operate a fax and copy machine

 Physical Qualifications:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position constantly
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and other office machinery; such as a copy and/or fax machine
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery; such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and/or customers who have credit and financial inquiries and must be able to exchange information in these situations
  • Constantly assesses information from computer, manuals, spreadsheets and other bank systems
  • Ability to transport file boxes to another work location (records vault)
  • Ability to drive and/or ride in a vehicle to attend educational training or required meetings
